Around the time that MS came out with Office X, they announced that all further development for the Mac platform would be for OS X.

There are however some third party options, as linked above.

Hi,
I am one of few who still use classic.
I use MSN messenger on a daily basis and it lacks options that the version for OS X has. Dose any one know of a newer version for OS 9? other than version2? Version 2 is over 2 years old.

i think they've totally abandoned doing updates for os9 stuff. i have the newest version of msn messenger for osx, and i think it's a great, noticeable improvement from the previous version.

give it a try. doesn't hurt, does it?

OS 9 development for most Mac programs has ceased. Staying with 9 these days means living with the previous (or a few releases back) version.

I'll admit that it's stable as a rock, but the new features are so tempting.

(Although the lack of voice in the mac version still is annoying..)
