It appears that Microsoft has released another update for Office 2004

Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac 11.3.6 Update

It's interesting to me that MS updates Office with security updates more often than Apple updates it's entire OS with security updates.

But does that mean that OS X is more secure? Or Apple is less quick on the uptake to release security updates?

Think I will wait a few days. I only use Excel now, but still like to be up to date.

I updated my Office and I have no problems to report

I don't think you've got your facts straight on this one. MS hasn't offered many updates to their office suite over the service life of the current version.

I've upgraded and so far so good!

no issues to report other than a small square graphical glitch around a text insertion point when typing in an email window. It appeared as a 1" square black box that sat next to the cursor. It went away after a restart.
