I am buying a new M1 Mac with only 256GB storage.

My old iMac has two user accounts (wife and me) with a combined total of almost 2.5 TB used.

So, I backed up (SuperDuper, using the User Accounts option) onto an external 4TB.

Now, I want to migrate the two user accounts using migration Assistant onto the new Mac.

But, since I have limited storage in the new Mac, is it possible to migrate only Mail onto the new machine using migration assistant, or will it insist on trying to copy all the data back?

I use POP3 and jot IMAP.

Thanks and cheers

As far as I know, migration assistant is an almost all or nothing thing and I'm not sure about SuperDuper, but Carbon Copy Cloner I do know allows you to pick and choose what you want from both the backup and the install.
