This MacBook Pro was purchased in September 2009. The hard drive was replaced by Apple this past fall. The power adapter was lost and replaced by a new one about a year ago. There is one small dent on the top corner of the screen as indicated in the picture - it does not affect the closing of the computer at all and is purely cosmetic, no screen damage at all. The screen is matte, not glossy like the standard MacBook Pro. As such it has the aluminum border.

CoconutBattery reports that the battery on this laptop is 82% of its original life. It still lasts many hours.

Also included is a Speck clip-on case which protects the computer from major damage. The case itself is only a couple of months old but because this laptop was used extensively for work on the road, the Speck case is worn and scratched in a few places. I may have an additional top case as well, since this case replaced another which broke on the bottom half. As is common with these clip on cases, they can sometimes cause wear marks on the aluminum surface. This has happened on the bottom of this machine so if you are looking for a MacBook in perfect cosmetic condition I suggest going to the Apple Store! The keyboard and palm rest are in very good shape.

500GB HDD, 4GB DDR3 memory, 2.53ghz Intel Core2Duo, SuperDrive, LED matte screen, Mac OS X Snow Leopard w/latest updates (disc included), iLife '11 (disc included)

Overall the cosmetic condition of this laptop is 7/10 and the functional condition is 9.5/10

I would prefer local buyers (Metro Vancouver), and the laptop is also up on Craigslist so it could go at any time (and will go to local buyers first) I will offer free shipping to ehMac buyers outside of Metro Vancouver. And yes, I will take offers... reasonable ones.

$1150 OBO

I incorrectly listed the hard drive as 250GB, it's actually a 500GB.

Price lowered to $950 incl. shipping!

I think it is a 17 inch......is it? You forgot to mention what size it is.
Don't think there was a unibody 17" 2.53Ghz. Only 2.66Ghz. So that would be a 15", AFAIK.
