Hey all,

I want to do a general Malware scan of my machine after a photo was inadvertently opened attached to what was definitely spam. I tried the two week trial download of Malwarebytes but it's incompatible with my OS. Does anyone know where I might find a legacy version or are there other (inexpensive or free) options you've used.

Thanks!

You can find older versions here:

I am running OS X 10.9 Mavericks 10.9.5 and Malwarebytes 1.3.1 so it might have got updated slightly from the old version 1.2.6 they are listing. It seems to run well and it's Rules get updated each time I launch it.

Thanks Patrick. That one looks like it requires 10.11 and up.
I'm sorry about that, and it seems that I have DetectX Version 2.91 (2.91) that works in my Mavericks 10.9 but not sure where I got it from.
It seems odd that they imply that it should run on all iMacs from 2011 in their comments on the app:

Try here for DetectX Version 2.91 (2.91):
