If you're running Mac OS 10.6.x, head off to Magic Mouse: Enabling gestures on your Mac
For 10.5.8 Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0 for Leopard and download and re-install it.

If you're a lazy fingered mouser like I am, you may need to retrain your finger actions and don't leave them on the mouse. And you could also try the old trackpad trick and exhale a deep breath onto your mousing fingers.

 

It works fine without Magic prefs, it's just with magic prefs it's a little odd. I installed it so I could get a third button. I am running the latest and greatest OS with all updates already.

 

Try a Google search for 'apple magic mouse third button' if that's what you're wanting or needing.

I didn't know that any of the latest Apple MM mouse device software actually provided a 'third button'.

 

there was a recent update for magic if you haven't yet installed it. I use it mainly to get Expose working

 

Yeah the annoying thing about the magic mouse and the previous mighty mouse is you have to lift one finger to right click...
