I have a Macbook Pro, about 2.5 years old. It's in great condition and we've never had any problems with the laptop it self, or its battery. Starting yesterday, it would shut off randomly. Checked to make sure the battery was completely charged and it was. The only way it doesn't shut off is if I keep it plugged into the charger all the time.

Help!

The battery is dead. Even a near-dead battery will display 100% charge, even if that charge is a few minutes.

I second that! It will tell you how much of a charge you battery contains compared to new and how many cycles have gone by as well.
