MacBook/PowerBook RAM compatibility question

Hi Everybody!

I'm about to buy a MacBook 13.3-inch 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo and i'm wondering if in the future i want to upgrade to 2GB RAM will the two 512MB cards be suitable for my old PowerBook G4 G4 Aluminum 15-inch 1.0GHz.

I know that the MacBook is DDR2 SODIMM and the PowerBook is DDR SODIMM, both 200 pin but the former is PC2-5300 and the latter is PC-2700, does this mean that the two 512MB cards from the MacBook will not work in the older PowerBook?

Thanks for taking the time to read this, any help much appreciated.

the new Intel Macs, all of which use the same RAM.

Except in one rarefied instance:
The final version of the Powerbook G4 1.67 GHz with the HD screen and the DL superdrive used DDR2-533 SODIMMs. Leftover DDR2-667 SODIMMs from an Intel CoreDuo/2Duo Mac might work in that (although some of the 667 SODIMM builds are not compatible)
