MacBook Fan won't shut off after latest Secuirty Update

Hey... any of the other MacBook owners noticed that their fan won't shut off after installing the latest security patch?

PS... Just looked in my activity monitor and my Airport CPU utilization is off the chart. I turned off my airport and bingo the fan quiets down. Anyone know how to back out of a security update?

I know it sounds sorta dopey...but try repairing permissions and then a restart...you never know. Also, check through the Apple support forums for other victims.
I've read a lot of fan issues being resolved by resetting the pram
I've got the same thing here actually on my MBP Core Duo. The "airport" process is currently hogging ~98% of the CPU! Now to find the solution...

I don't what's causing it... but if you shut your airport off... wait 30 seconds and turn it back on it fixes the issue.
I've noticed that the Macbook has been running a lot hotter since the update, and it's not my imagination since I regularly monitor that sort of thing.

Yeah, I'm having that problem too, and the fan seems to be on more.
In addition to the "airport" process occaisionally grabbing 98% CPU and running the fans constantly, I noticed a dramatic network performance hit with this update. My old iBook G3 (which hadn't been updated) with 802.11b was pulling down pages much much faster than my MacBook Pro with 802.11g. Unacceptable!

I ended up doing an archive+install from my original discs then ran the 10.4.9 combo update. I avoided the AirPort updates (2) and now my connection is perfect again!

Anyway... just wanted to throw out a solution for anyone affected by this issue.
Here I was, hoping Macs never had this sort of near-Microsoft problem. ;)

Hope you get your solution.... this happening to the desktops with wireless too?
If it were me I would revert to the previous system. I hope you backed up before running the update:D

Next update usually fixes previous updates disasters. However I am running 10.3.8 as Apple went on to Tiger before they finished cleaning up 10.3.9
I dunno, I have run the update on my personal MacBook and my work MacBook Pro and I've noticed no problems. No increased heat, no airport issues, nothing.

Maybe the update conflicts with some 3rd party software or something?

Also, are the people who are having problems running CoreDuo MB's or Core2Duos?
