I have huge project to burn to a DVD, hopefully. My macbook supports dual layer burning, but on the apple site it said they only support Dual Layer DVD +R disks, is that true and if so will they work in most DVD players. This is a project for a bunch of school kids, so I want to make sure it works on there DVD players, in the past I have only ever used DVD-R (not dual layer).
Macbook
OS 10.4.10
2 Ghz intel dual
1 gig ram

Thanks
JU

Or does it appear that DL burning it just way too expensive!

hi Juren,

If your Macbook is like mine (Core Duo), it cannot burn Dual Layer DVD, it will read them only. Burning DL is not supported on these first generation Macbooks. The Core2Duo can....

As for the files to work on their DVD players, it's hit and miss, some DVD players will other will not play burns. I found the least expensive DVD models usually handle burned DVDs better than some high end models.
