Tonight I noticed that when I use my MacBook while its on my lap, there are clicking sounds. This clicking does not occur while the MacBook is on my desk or sitting still on my lap. However, as soon as it start typing or making a few clicks/scrolls on the track pad, I hear clicks, does anyone know what it may be?
I think it's the hinges to the lid, when I'm sitting moving the laptop the slightest amount (typing and scrolling) causes the lid to shake and thus the noise, is this normal?
Either its the hard drive or if its more like a subtle high pitched click that only occurs when you engage the track pad or type then I am going to bank more on the logic board. Its more then likely the toroids or toroidal chokes vibrating, which thus explains the scraping sound/clicking sound.
I already did that while the 'clicking' was still there and it's not the speakers, but anyways, the clicking seems to be gone altogether, and since I already have a HDD lying around I'm not too concerned, I think.
