MacBook Cases

Tomorrow I will be buying a new MacBook, and I was wondering what carrying case I should buy. I checked at the Apple Store, and if I want to get the plastic cover (the exoskeletton) and a carrying case, it would cost over 150 just for that. What do you guys use/recommend?

Thanks!

I'd suggest not getting a hard plastic case, as that may cause heat issues. Also increases the bulk of the unit.

As for cases - I'd suggest a sleeve, and then a bag of some sort. InCase makes/made some very good neoprene sleeves (Similar to this Incase Products). Only some stores still have stock, as the 13" has been discontinued it seems.
I had a 15" MarWare case with my PowerBook.

The reason I want the hard plastic case is that I'm going to be using the MacBook in rough conditions around people *not so careful* this summer. Does it tend to scratch as much as the iBook?
green canvas InCase bag is what I've got.

I really like it, so far.

It doesn't have a strap, which is the only shortcoming so far.
I recently purchased a MacBoook along with an Incase Neoprene Sleeve and a SGM Small Alley Case. Nice fit.
Check the AppleStore in Laval before buying. Good deals on refreshed. Mike.
I'll second the STM small alley.
I found a MarWare for a resonable price, I think I'll get that. I need to consider I'll be carrying my school backpack too, so I think the STM Small Alley isn't best.

It is a good investment?

I bought a Marware Sportfolio for my wife's Macbook it's a great bag!! Check the U of T computer store for prices.

A friend bought a Crystal Case on eBay for her MB

It cost her about $20.00 cdn shipped. I don't know about the heat issue - it does have vents and larger foot pads to raise it off the ground.

Personally I'd recommend the Marware Sportfolio bag. It has room for the power adapter, mouse, iPod etc.
Yeah I think I'm going to take the Crystal Case and the MarWare SportFolio (found 1 used for cheap).

Get both the portability and the protection.
