MacBook and unresponsive trackpad

I have noticed lately that my trackpad (cursor) will become unresponsive when sitting idle for just a moment. I will have to do some rubbing to get it back to life. Would this have to do with having "ignore accidental trackpad input" enabled?

It shouldn't. How long do you have to "rub it back to life" before it does actually come back to life? Likewise, uncheck "ignore accidental trackput input" and see if it makes any difference (it shouldn't really).

Your MacBook may be having a hardware issue.
I've had the same "issue" with my MBP. Unchecking "ignore accidental trackpad input" fixed it right up. Its obviously not very good at determining what input is valid or not.

Trev
TrevX- that seemed to do the trick. I could be wrong, but I think the quirk was happening in Rosetta apps.
