Just checking to see if anyone here made the jump to the new MBA, and how they feel.

I'll be going to from a 2015 MacBook Pro 3.1 i7 16G to a new MBA w/ 16G in Jan (don't have the full specs yet). I've never owned an MBA so I'm curious and semi excited as the smallest form factor I'll have ever owned (I owned a 12" MBP way back, but those were thicker than a sandwich made w/ texas toast).

Hummmm...??? Either not too many members have gone that route from the lack of number of replies or maybe they're just tied up with the Christmas and various Season's celebrations.

But I guess I am a little bit curious as to why you would switch from your existing 2015 MacBook Pro 3.1 i7???

PS: there should be some Reviews out there on the internet you could Google for... especially if you were looking for something specific....

I'll chalk it up as ppl being busy w holidays. But seeing that I got the news yesterday, I figure I'd come out here and ask - as I once perused these boards daily, since the day the site was founded (just under a different name/pre ownership change).

I mentioned my MacBookPro12,1 (3.1 i7) to simply provide some comparison. I had some mild damage to the unit (which still works v well), but someone decided to gift me a new MBA anyhow. So maybe someone might have some insight to provide. Again, I thought it was a good reasons to come back here and ask. Maybe the boards aren't busy as they once were. All good.

Welcome back, but as you have probably noticed, the site isn't exactly the same Mac support site that it used of be some years ago... but you can always start a new thread as you did here... you just might have to wait a bit longer than you used to, and now get some sort of a political related to answer.
