Hello Ladies and Gents,

I had an "accident" with the plug (US type) of my macbook adapter (magsafe) and broke it :(
I'm using an extension cable I got from a friend to write this post :)
Anyway, I called the Apple store and they told me that they don't sell the part separately, and given the price tag on the whole adapter the move wouldn't make sense.

Any montrealers that might know where to buy parts like this one? Or maybe someone that has a trusted website to buy them from?

Thanks for your time guys!

Do you mean the "duck head", with the folding prongs?
You should have the three prong extension cable that came with the MacBook. It's more secure and less prone to falling out of sloppy wall and power bar sockets.

You can also use a much cheaper standard power cord that plugs into the holes in the power supply without the fancy metal sliding bit that Apple uses. Any proper electrical shop will have them, they're used on a lot of portable boom boxes.

Unless I'm traveling and every gram counts, I don't use the duck head.

Thank you very much guys.

Yes I believe the part is what you call the duck head. I'd like to get it because I use my laptop in school everyday, and well, less cables is always a plus for me.
I'll try to find a store in montreal that has the part and I will post it here just in case anybody else needs the info.

Thanks again!
