This morning, i noticed a news article that said that some members are having trouble accessing their homepage on their .mac service..
I tried to do it as well, and bingo, i'm one of those people, now.. it only mentioned hompeage, what i quickly found out is that i cannot acces ANYTHING from www.mac.com

Is anyone else experienceing this?

Thanks!

I'm not experiencing any problems right now...

I had some last week accessing my mail account though. All three of them...

I've been having intermittent issues since last friday. Email has been messing up a bit. Emails are bouncing back... even this morning... hopefully the madness will stop... ;)

Just checked again and everything's ok now.

seems like its up and down but I really feel this shouldnt be happening... I'm spending less on another hosting service and they've never had these many issues.

grr.

If this continues in the next few months i doubt i'll renew.

BugBear virus slows .Mac e-mail service
June 9 - 13:53 EDT   Apple has responded to complaints of slow .Mac e-mail delivery times: "Due to a high volume of incoming mail, there is currently a delay in the delivery of messages sent to .Mac members," said Apple on the .Mac Web site. "The mail is being processed and will be delivered as quickly as possible. No mail will be lost." According to MacFixIt, "The slow-down was apparently due to complications caused by the Bugbear.B virus, which is still making its rounds, and was estimated by analysts to be at its worst on Friday. While the bug apparently only affects Windows executable files, the massive amount of waste e-mail generated took its toll on Apple's already high-load .Mac mail servers. Some users are still waiting several hours before receiving messages, and are having problems with outgoing mail."  [ Email this story ]
