Hi,

I'm thinking of upgrading my Mac Mini's core solo cpu. My question is whether some of the newer Core2 cpu's are compatible. I found this thread that lists compatible cpu's :

123Macmini.com - Forums - View topic - Mac Mini 1.66 Cpu Upgrade
(lists the 7400 as ok)

I then went Memory Express and found a 7400.
Intel Core?2 Duo Processor E7400 2.8GHz w/ 3MB Cache at Memory Express Computers

However, the FSB is listed as 1066 as opposed to the lower FSB (667) listed on the compatibility list. Will this cpu at memory express work?

thanks!

Thanks NightCitizen. It looks like they are using the newer 1066 FSB cpu's with the core solo's by the looks of the last thread (a few of them are posting in 2009, so I'm assuming they must be purchasing newer C2D's). It sounds like heat might be a bigger concern.
