Yep, lots of USB KVM's out there that will work fine for what you are trying to do (provided that the PC in question can handle the USB keyboard and mouse).

I think it should work if you use an adapter, because I mean all the switch does is switch computers, I am using a USB Mouse attached using an adapter into a PS/2 Port on a PC and it works well, so if the switch had PS/2 Cables you could use an adapter to plug them into a mac.

 

The PC should easily support a USB keyboard/mouse.
What are you running on it? XP?

Edit: what about your monitor? VGA support is cheaper... don't know how many DVI switches are around.

i believe it is vga, it is a fairly new IBM 19"

 

Try Belkin's USB Flip. Best Buy has them for about $65 (does audio too)

 

Win 2K USB support wasn't very good - not sure how much they improved it towards the end...
There are many options - check out NCIX/Tiger/Canada Computers... all the usual suspects.
