Hi all,

Am wondering how one goes about getting work in the Mac arena these days (dealerships, ad agencies, etc). I've been working overseas for 3 years @ an ISP (unix admin, solaris/irix/tru64/freebsd/osx/etc) and have recently returned to Canada.

My true passion is anything Macintosh (have owned over 15 models since the good ol' Appe ][) :) I'm definately a full-time mac evangelist!

I have _alot_ of experience specific to the macintosh market -- other unix variants aside, including working for an all-mac organization supporting over 500 Macs & a current contract to support the backend systems (mail/dns/web/ldap) of a major Mac-based company in Toronto (200+ systems). My 'hobbies' include os x programming, amongst several other languages i've worked in extensively throughout my career so far (codewarrior (c), perl, php, tcl).

So, is there any work out there for us Mac nuts? Sales, support, development -- you name it, i'm interested.

Any suggestions or leads would be greatly appreciated.

All the best,
DJ

I don't know if this will help you any, but, you might try here: http://www.bigfootcomputers.com
they are computer cooling specialists as well as other things related. On their web page, they state they are looking for sales staff.

I've been meaning for awhile, to put something similar to the Trading Post for swaping Macs. Except this forum would be for swaping Mac related jobs. (Thanks to a suggestion from Sandy McMurray). ;)

Anyone think a forum like this would be of use?

things are already competitive, they always have been, unless you have skills that are in high demand and short supply.
