Sheeeeesh... Just when I was about to pull the trigger on a HD upgrade for my PB, I read this. Just what I needed. I was looking at this 40G FBD unit they have. Space + they seemed affordable. Not looking for any probs though. Booo. The same thing is happening w/ IBMs. So what's left?? Hitachis I guess? Anyone else heard anything about this?

I have a FUJITSU MHR2040AT - 40GB in my pismo.

Never has given me a problem and it runs quietly too.

I do recall you mentioning that sometime back. I hate to grab stuff knowing that there are known issues - much like the eMac. I put a full ABS stop to that purchase. I'm looking as I know that IBM should be launching an 80 Gig 7200 Travelstar sometime this month. Waiting to see if $$ will come down a little...

So that Fujitsu has served you well? I'm actually looking at that one.

I have an IBM Travelstar 20 GB, not the Deskstar that they mention in the lawsuit. No problems with mine either.
