Kind of embarassed... need help on how to burn a DVD...

I've never burned a DVD before, so I'm not sure what to do. I don't want to copy a movie or anything - there is a break-in DVD for plasma TV's that I want to burn and run on my DVD player. I have a Macbook.

The file is located here:
Evangelos Angelides - Home (Under "Downloads)

What format do I download, and then what do I do with it so it will play like a regular DVD?

Thanks

When burning a DVD it depends on whether you are making a back-up or if you are using a format such as AVI.

If you want to make a back-up DVD you can try using Toast. I have Toast 7 and it works really great for when you want to back-up movies or files.

Otherwise, if you are using a format like AVI and have a powerful computer you can try this:

1) Import your DVD movie into iMove (you can make chapters) and save it then
2) Export the movie to iDVD (here you can make your menus) and then burn it

Hope this helps!
Ah, one more thing... you might want to download MacTheRipper. MacTheRipper basically rips the DVD and makes a copy on your HD which can then be burned to a DVD. If you are making a (back-up) copy of another DVD you would want to rip it with MacTheRipper first.
Thanks for the info. Another quick question however:

There are 3 formats that this DVD comes in

ISO Download
NRG Download
VIDEO_TS Download

Which one should I use for a regular DVD player?

Thanks

Requirements:
DVD-R Drive
DVD-R Blank Media
Nero Burning Software or
DVD Decrypter
DVD Player Capable of DVD-R Playback.
Did you notice this list of requirements? Maybe email the guy and ask what he knows about using his files on a Mac.

When you bought your tv, did they tell you that you had to do this? A quick google seems to reveal more opinions against it than for it.

Download the ISO and open /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.app and burn it there (just hit the yellow burn icon and then select the ISO image).

It amazes me sometimes how many people overlook the built-in features of OS X. Disk Utility has got to be one of the most often overlooked useful tools.
