i have almost 60 gigs of mp3's on a dedicated firewire drive, i have some duplicates, anyone know of an iTunes script that will remove duplicate files not just from the iTunes library but also from the harddrive...

am running panther..

Dude, just run a 'find' from the menu and drag all of the dupes to the trash?!

...then before deleting the files, open iTunes, select all of the songs in your playlist and remove them. Then drag the archive containing your files back into iTunes to re-catalog them...

Once you're sure that you have them all loaded, empty the trash...

The last is allegedly the best, they'll both ID duplicate files for you and allow for different ways to deal with them...
