As a test, I downloaded a music video from iTunes to my MBP, which now appears in my iTunes music video file, then I selected it and chose "convert selection for iPod" and a progress bar appeared and finished. Finally I chose "sync to my iPod".

In spite of numerous tries, the iPod Touch keeps saying I have no videos. What am I doing wrong?

It falls under the artist. It doesn't show up in your video section.

Problem solved. Apparently it is a good idea to "authorize" your computer with iTunes.

The videos show up in the video file on your iPod when you do so.
