Have you tried this?
System Preferences > System > Accounts > Login > uncheck iTunes.

I'm hoping that this is a stupid question and someone will have a quick fix for me 
I can't seem to stop itunes from loading everytime I login. I've checked and unchecked the open at login option, found when you actually click on the icon in the dock, I've checked in the system preferences, I've checked in the itunes preferences, I can't seem to figure it out and it's driving me nuts! it slows down the login process quite a bit.. any advice?

You think *that's* weird? My elderly uncle has a ghost in the machine. Every time *every time* he burns a CD, the moment it finishes, his Solitaire programme launches.

Right click iTunes in the dock and see if "Open at Login" is checked? If it is, uncheck it.
