iSpilled Pepsi on the Powerbook and replaced the keyboard myself and it just looked too good to throw away so I hot glued to to my desk and use it as a hand rest.

the apple products are quite sexy but the table ruins the whole look. Get a better table to match the design of the apple products. Get a table with a contemporary design, maybe with a glass top.
trust me... avoid a glass top. I have a desk with a glass top n I was constantly cleaning the hand marks off it. It's a real pain to keep clean all the time! Now it sit's in pieces in my closet. It's nice looking but to maintain looking nice... just too much work!
My next desk I'm Probably going to get a desk like Sabastian has on the movie Cruel Intentions... trust me... it's a freakin awesome desk!
If you don't care to see the movie I'll describe the desk. Imagine if you will a classical looking dark oak desk with all those nice engravings on the legs etc. Then on top of it is a glass enclosure that stretches over the whole desk. It's about 3-5 inches high and with a nice silver frame on it. Inside he has if I remember correctly... a stack of money in a clip, some oversized dice, a model of a classic car, n other things of the sort. on top of the desk he has his normal journal in a leather case, a cigar lighter n the usual old style telephone.

I moved 11 times over 30 years in my career and covered over 8,000 miles (nearly 13,000 km for you metric types).I want to buy a nice white rectangular desk, but i'm not buying any new furniture until i move next year, everything gets ruined when you move.
I lost one item and had one scratch in one table during those moves. The lost item was a $20 King George bill. The table was repaired at no cost to me.
What's your experience with moving to make it such a negative to you?
