I am wondering if anyone is aware of good tax software for Macs?
I know taxes can be done online with Ufile and Inuit, but I'm looking for a good installable software.
Any advice or suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks

Last year I just used QuickTax online, as I couldn't find anything decent.

Macworldcanada.ca has an article about donig taxes on your Mac. (i'm allowed to link to them because they are somehow affiliated with ehmac.ca right?)

I chose to go with TaxFreeway this year, but have been procrastinating and havne't actually used it yet. :)

i've used quicktax online for years (at least 4). it works in safari, and if you go through td canada trust, it costs $11.99. it's just right for a standard return.

I used Tax Freeway. It worked great and only costs $15.
I don't mean to sound disrespectful, but Tax Freeway is easily the ugliest piece of Mac OS X software I have ever seen.

Uglier than PAWwriter, and that's really saying something!

I didn't have a good experience with it -- found math errors -- and compared to UFile.ca (online) I would have lost about $600 in refund. I cannot recommend it compared to the online options.*

*Ironically, after completing the online return we discovered that since this is our first year filing Canadian taxes, we're not allowed to file online! DOH!! We ended up having the very nice folks at FastTax do this for us for about $80 (usually $55 or so, but we have to file an "international tax return" because I'm an American Refugee).

Next year we'll use Ufile.ca or QuickTax online, but for this first one we thought it best to have an experienced tax preparer do it. They even found some additional deductions that entirely covered their fee, so we're happy.
