Heavy metal rock band Iron Maiden used Final Cut Pro to assemble and create the gold master for its DVD "Iron Maiden: Vision of the Beast." Macworld UK notes that EMI, the band's label, suggested that using Macs for the preproduction of the DVD might lead to manufacturing issues, but "it all worked out fine, and now we've sold over 400,000 copies of the DVD," says Johnny B, the bands technical advisor. The band is also using Macintosh computers for its technology infrastructure on the "Dance of Death" world tour.
