Last week I purchased a new iPod Touch, and it's been unable to communicate with my AirPort Extreme. It has connected with a local restaurant's network easily.

Is there a secret handshake or something?

make sure the extreme isn't broadcasting ONLY on 'N' and it should be ok

i switched the radio mode to 802.11b/g compatible ... and it worked.
