ipod question????

I use my ipod photo as an alarm clock on a daily basis and I was thinking of purchasing a second ipod. I was wondering if the newer generation ipods have dropped this feature? I couldn't locate the alarm clock feature in the current ipod video 80gig model when looking over the menu options. Do the 5, 5.5gen ipods have this feature? Does the nano?

They do. You have to go to Extras>Clock>(Select your clock)>Alarm Clock.
I just picked up an 80GB iPod Gen 5 two days ago. I can verify that it does indeed have alarm clock on it... not only 1! ... You can have multiple clocks with alarms on each! I have 4 different clocks with different timezones as I have relatives all over the world! It's a thing of beauty! Especially the music videos! It ad's so much to your music experience!
I have an alarm on my secnd gen ipod nano but it is not lound enough for my liking and it doesn't ring continuously, just a few beeps.
No Music on Touch?

Hi Friends
 We can't seem to find the alarm feature on our new iPod Touch that will start the iPod playing music. We have made the iPod play various short-lived tones, but we'd like the iPod to start playing music through our speaker dock at the set alarm time.
I've looked and looked and had friends look, but we can't figure this thing out.
Any idea?
The only alarm available for the Touch is a bunch of beeping sounds.

Check the setting on your dock. Make sure it is set to ipod and not tuner. Your alarm should go off to your ipod music, at least mine does.

Okay, I'm trying it in the dock. The dock doesn't have a tuner, it's just speakers, so this should be simple.
But when I try to set this iPod Touch to pick a song to play as the alarm, the only options it gives me are different tones, no songs.
You say your ipod plays music?
Where did you find a "music" setting on your iPod?
(All I can find in the alarm setting is "Sound")
