I'm looking around for a cover for my iPod, and there are plenty out there. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any at a store - only online and in a MacWarehouse catalogue. I'd rather not cover up the iPod completely, as in the aluminum shell type, but it definitely needs something for some protection. Any suggestions? I'm looking for something that looks good, but not over-priced either - I'm in the Niagara Falls area, and we don't have much to choose from in the way of Apple dealers.

Thanks,
Rachel.

Hi there. You didn't mention which iPod model you have but you might want to check out: http://www.iskin4ipod.com

I believe they are based in Toronto too.

I have the 2nd gen 10gig model and love the iSkin I got for it. It lets you access all the controls, makes the iPod non-slippery and vents it nicely if you do a lot of file moving on it. The only thing it doesn't do is protect the screen area from scratches so I recommend you get a pack of PDA screen protectors (get it for a discontinued model to save major $$) and apply it over the screen area - the iSkin covers the rest.

We've reviewed 2 of these cases, and we're reviewing three more from other firms. Some are very very nice (the new reviews not yet published):

We're also reviewing a 3G iPod leather case from VAJA, and a 3G iPod case from Encase. I believe we have 2 more cases in-bound as well, from MFRs. Plus, we'll have reviews of more iPod accessories, iPod 3rd-party docks, IR Adapters, the new iTrip, etc. Lots of stuff in-bound.

Thanks! I drove up to Light Computers in Hamilton and purchased an iSkin for $18.

Here's a plug for Light - I've dealt there for about three years, and they always have a good selection of items, are knowledgable, and encourage you to look around and see the products first hand.

Good choice. I was going to suggest an iSkin. I bought one online last week for my hubby and we are totally pleased with it! Best one out there...and that puppy will not slide anywhere with the skin on...great on plane fold-out tables.

I can see that these iSkins, in all their fervent colours, could be addictive. Light had quite a few to choose from. I saw from the iSkin website that they also carry keyboard covers, which I am thinking of for my Ti Book, whose screen is starting to become indented from the keyboard.
