iPhoto cannot import your photos because there was a problem writing to the volume containing your iPhoto library.

it almost finishes the import and then it fails and nothing is imported

i recently migrated to a new iMac, not sure if this is my first import i likely is....

any thoughts

my library seems fine otherwise....

No, "restart" is a Mac thing.

"ReINSTALL" is a Windows thing.
