I just got a cell phone for security reasons when I am on the road alone as I am a senior citizen with limited mobility Thus the phone is just for asking for assistance if medical or automotive problems exist . This is the best video of the iPhone I have seen The presenter lacks Steve's charisma but it does show what this phone is capable of . I guess next week will tell the tale

Interesting vid.

Can anyone pick up the man's accent? It drove me to distraction more than once as I was watching this but I can't quite figure it out. I will say this, I'm surprised he got the gig considering the way he says 'iPhone'. It comes out 'iPhun'.
Great video - answered a lot of questions, and certainly shows the ease-of-use.

One question, however: Near the beginning, he says that you can sync your contacts with the address book on your Mac or PC. What address book on the PC?
It wasn't so much his accent that bugged me, but his unblinking stare. I'm half-convinced he is a Pixar CGI.

Yes, that was interesting. Similarly, he said the same thing about syncing your web bookmarks from a Mac or PC; which further explains the release of Safari for WIN. The iPhone could really spread Safari far and wide on WIN.

Also, I had not realized it was capable of reading Word & Excel files. Useful.
Man, I had no idea that Steve and Joan Rivers shared the same cosmetic surgeon. he looks GREAT! And that "Hair Club for Men" therapy really paid off, Steve! You and Sy Sperling must be real chums...

Oh... that's NOT Steve Jobs in the video?? Well, it was nice of him to lend the guy one of his shirts -- and glasses!

But seriously folks, I couldn't help but notice a similarity in image between the two men -- RDF-inducing hand gestures and all.

To answer any questions regarding PC data connectivity, check out the "Get ready for iPhone" page @ Apple.com. It is all there.

Also here is their activation video.

Aaaaand here are their rate plans!
Hey! You guys check out the activation video I referenced in my previous post?? Check out this screenshot of their "iPhone's" memory capacity, as shown within iTunes!

That's an 80GB capacity! :yikes:

I don't get that. Are we talking Chernobyl mutated media cards? Cutting edge RAM chips? A "virtual iPhone" that runs on a computer for demo purposes?? Hmmm... an iPhone with that capacity is of course an eventuality. But, we're a ways off from that today!

EDIT: and ALL iPhone plans include UNLIMITED data :love2: AT&T must be getting an extra cut on iPhone's price.

I noticed that too, but since the summary page at the top still shows 7.27 GB, it's obviously just a screen edit for the video, perhaps because they were looking for a more colourful capacity bar :)

The earlier shots (with the empty iPhone) show the correct capacity bar.
