I've noticed my iPad Pro battery has been draining quite a bit just by sitting idle.
Fired up Coconut Battery today and saw that my iPad Pro battery health is down to 60%. That doesn't look too good. It's only 4 yrs old and, as you can see on the attached image, it's hasn't gone through very many charging cycles. I'm wondering if I should try a iCloud backup and full restore, as I saw someone suggest for an iPhone with a similar issue. The iPad batteries should, what I would think, last longer than this in my case.

With that, has anyone gone through 3rd party repair to replace iPad batteries successfully? I don't believe Apple does such a repair.

As it charged, the health (Design Capacity) moved up to 73%. Still not stellar.

Is this new battery Capacity something new, especially since an iOS Upgrade by chance???

I may be mistaken but I thought I read somewhere about the latest iOS affecting the battery state on some iDevices.

I am sorry, I cannot recall where I read that, but no doubt It was at one of the Mac support forum sites, and that does not include this site especially for the way it has been going lately and not providing much in the way of Mac support!!! 😟

I may do a factory reset and a full restore to see what that does.

May I suggest that you make sure you have a current working backup clone first?

And maybe read through some of these suggestions:

You must mean an iCloud backup. My plan is to create one and restore from that iCloud backup.

that could be just my opinion but honestly
some of these tips are just too time-consuming and irrelevant and some of them are overshot
if you charge your phone regularly and do not live it on the wire through the whole night you can be sure your battery will last exactly the time it says in the insurance

My iPad Design Capacity is now up to 81% go figure. Being fully charged, maybe that’s the reason?
