I just arrived in Canada and want to use the BBC Media Player but it checks your IP address and will not allow you to view many items if you are not in the UK. I am in Canada, so can't keep up to date with my favourite serials.

I think there are IP proxy programmes that will allow you to change your IP to one within another country, say the UK - presumably using their proxy servers. Does anyone have any info. on these and do they work?

Thanks

Walt
