It's was just a little tongue in cheek thought,
I did some back tracking on the "Old timers" earlier today and found this site of interest.

http://www.byte.com/art/9606/sec5/art2.htm

Just thought I'd share this information to those that might want to know more about the history of the Mac Plus Apple Macintosh.

I'm only mentioning this because I had in the near past run into people that still use the Mac Plus to surf the Internet, There are people out there that still use these Mac's, I find it quite amazing.

Cheers!

;)

Hello All...

Well, Here are the two Staff Picks for the Envynews.com Mac Reviewer positions:

The Mayor (ehMax)
Arachnid (Ron)

As for the third position, I can't decide. I've had over 60 total applications for all three spots, and truthfully, i've been a bit overwhelmed by the sheer talent found on ehMac.ca.

At this time, I won't be picking a third person for this third position. HOWEVER, I will "Keep your applications on file". Man, I hate that phrase... Fear not, I mean it. If the EN.com Mac Dep't gets as successful as the PC department, well, I'll need to hire about six more reviewers. So, keep your eyes peeled for a surprise reply from me in the near future...

As it stands now, both Ron and ehMax will be sent some peripheral gear to 'test' them, and if they pass (which, my gut tells me they will), then I believe they'll help turn the tides of war and we'll make another dent out there with good Mac reviews in this vastly over-populated (infested?) PC Planet.

Cheers,

N.

Oh, and btw, The Mayor has some plans for all of you here, so it's not a total (and odd) coincidence that I've picked him... I'll leave that there for now, and let him pick it up where I left off, when he's ready. <cough>

Ah, one more thing, your own 'jfpoole' finished a succinct review on a Vaja I-VOLUTION 10GB iPod Case. It's a beauty of a case, and the company has several incredible products if you're looking for a PDA case as well.

Helix was a FirstClass BBS as well. It was my first real virtual home.
Aaahhh, the good ol' days. That was a nice virtual community.

Sounds like

FYI!

EhMac.ca's very own Ron Stevenson (a.k.a. Arachnid) has just finished reviewing and posting a new review on EnvyNews.com.

MacMice iScoot.

We have one more Mac review to be published today, and from someone very special here! Stay tuned.

Oh um, btw, I can't quite reveal the details right now or why etc, but I'm looking to hire 3 Mac News Writers for a new Mac site. Cough. I've already said too much.

If you're interested in writing and posting news on a soon-to-be big Mac news/reviews site, let me know in PMs here.

These are News positions only. It's a way for you to take center stage, if you like being in the lime-light and such. Egocentrics apply here-in.

Thanks.

Yup. nice review.

Found a grammatical error to look at in the Conclusion page... an erroneous letter "a" snuck in, it would seem...

While that might be close to the truth, the iScoot is a one of the most useful products for an Apple PowerMac G3/4 that you will come across.

Very well-written review.

Found a tiny error, too:

"apposed" should be written "opposed" in the Features page --

"The acrylic used is not easily bent and according to MacMice it is hand-heated, as apposed to machine, which gives the plastic greater strength."

ehMac - The new official board that includes threads where people edit EnvyNews's reviews!!
Hehe... I've been doing that sort of impulse-editing since my Helix/MacSense days... Some habits are just impossible to break...

I'm editing EhMax's/The Mayor's review now.

Btw, I've received two applications for the News Writer positions.

The new Mac site will be going public within 2 weeks.

There's actually some very exciting things surrounding this new site announcement

A bit off topic but,

Strongblade, you saying I giggled... *insert mock anger as its hard to stay angry at anyone on this board* I resent that comment, it makes me sound like a little school girl *end mock anger*

Back on topic, Neil, do you also have to be 18 again to serve on the new Mac site?

Neil,

Not to shatter your glass, but doing a Mac-news site is not a good idea. The sheer competition of news of other Mac sites that do the samething; you need a clear objective: Why would people want to your site over MacCentral?

Good review so far. although my editing senses tingled on the 3rd page..

The iPod Armor case gives me piece of mind having a complete hard shell protecting my beloved iPod, while still giving it a pretty cool appearance.
Probably would want to have peace of mind instead
