Ummm.... yes. I just bought a similar used configuration (just had 256MB of video ram, instead of 128MB) for $1775.
If it's an iMac C2D 2.0 then it's 17", the 20" C2D is 2.16Ghz.

Also, An Old Soul's must be a 20" 'cause there no 256MB Graphics upgrade available on the 17"ers.

That being said, MiM, I think it's an OK deal. About right for that machine... the CS $799 deals were $910 incl taxes and that was a lower level machine. So for 1K I'd say it's pretty ok, not stellar, but ok.
Oops. I should have posted the screen size. Yes, 17-inch of course as pointed out by FF. Thanks for the replies. And FF, I would agree with your statement, especially since the rumors are starting up again re: iMacs, although newer models were to be expected anyhow.
Well... the rumours are all pointing to the iMac update being somewhat cosmetic (aluminum! ...and Santa Rosa) and that the update will drop the 17" form factor entirely.

If the 12" PB model can be followed here (and I'm not sure, since it's a laptop/desktop comparison) then the 17" iMacs may hold their value for people with smaller spaces, or who just want a smaller computer on their desk?
They're not dropping the 17", just not updating it.
They're not dropping the 17", just not updating it.

I thought they were:

"The new all-in-one signature desktops, expected to be available only in 20- and 24-inch configurations, have been described as both slimmer and sleeker than the 17-, 20- and 24-inch models they will replace,"
I think right now 'cause it's a rumour it's a little vague. We'll have to see sometime in the next 4-6 weeks when apparently the update is coming.
Thanks again everyone. I ended up buying it at $1000. I may make the switch to the newer ones when they come out, depending on the pricing, or I'll slap some Applecare on this sucker and enjoy it for another 2 years. I had a few glitches going from PPC to Intel, but everything went well doing a fresh reinstall and using migration assistant. Much snappier than the G5, too. :)
