So like all y'all I am not a Noob.

Everything was working ticket boo on my 2015 MBP. Monterey 12.6.4

I have an iPhone 11

I use iMessage a bit - not a whole lot - I am an old guy! Not that people do not text me... most of my peeps are dead! But as a now blind guy if I text it is way easier on the Mac (Or iPad BUT as I am on my MAc more than anything I do NOT wanna use two or three devises at once!)

Anyway I just had my iPhone switched from Koodoo to onto my Telus account. Nice deal saved lots of do re me

But now the Mac will NOT send messages to Android phones.

Yes I did EVERYTHING that I know to fix it.

The iPhone sends to Android and the iPad looks like it is sending ... not 100% sure yet???

Anyway ...

The phone has a new SIM (Telus vs Koodoo) is that an issue?

Ta much

I'm sorry I have very little knowledge about SMS and MMS messages and how they work, especially with Telus, and with apologies to ehMac.ca, I don't think there are many members here who actually use Telus, so I would suggest you try various Google searches and/or the Telus forums support starting with something like this:

And then there's their support site:

I'm not exactly sure, but I think you may have to set up your Messages.app preferences using your Apple iCloud account on your Mac, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

But hopefully some experienced expert will reply here with a proper solution.

THANKS ... STILL WORKING IN IT....
FIXED... too way toooo long.

Sign out of Apple ID everywhere as in ALL YOUR DEVICES and reboot reboot everything

Oh and a new MacMini arriving tomorrow!
FIXED... too way toooo long.

Sign out of Apple ID everywhere as in ALL YOUR DEVICES and reboot reboot everything

I'm glad you got everything fixed and working well, but I have never heard of any solution anywhere close to what you found to actually work other than the standard advice to Reboot when something doesn't work as it should. I wonder what signing out of your Apple ID everywhere had to do with the problem, or was it possibly some coincidence that got things working???

Anyway, I'm glad you got it fixed and working and hopefully your new Mac Mini works well for you, and maybe some solution to try for others who might run into the same problem.

What monitor did you get or are you going to use an older one you might have already had with it???

M2 Mac Mini humming away here //

Using the two old LGs I have. As they say a Wink is as good as a nod to a blind horse. SO getting a fancy dancy monitor for a blind guy ... nope.
And just one connector short. Not bad!

So far so good!!
