iMacs glossy screen

Was at the Apple store in yorkdale today was looking at the new iMacs... very nice and modern looking a piece of art if I can say that. The keyboard very sleek and comfortable. The screen is totally annoying, I can see myself in it.
I'm wondering if it was the lights in the apple store that caused the heavy reflection, to me the reflection is very strong and distracting, I definitely would of preferred the matte screen.

Just my two cents.

Using it for about a week at home, and I never thought about the reflexion. I like the glossy screen, the colors are bright and very contrasted. The images look sharp and crisp with this screen.
Also, I don't have any light in my back, so this is less chances of a reflexion, and I'm probably not too shiny ;)
I've had a new 20" iMac for a week now and find the reflection noticeable at time but mostly not an issue. In a way, you can choose to look at the reflection or the text/images on the screen...you'll see what you want to see.
I just saw this glossy display 20" iMac under darker light conditions (at CSC) and I was absolutely blown away by the monitor. iPhoto was full screen, and the photos jumped out at you.

I said it in an another thread here, but I bought a few years back a Sony Display with a glossy screen. Colors, brightness, blacks, and so on, were very nice.

But after a week, I could not stand seeing my reflections in the screen. Like you said, it is kinda easy to concentrate on the pixels and try to forget the reflections, but still, this is an exercise you need to practice, and may not be doable all time.

That's why I thing I will go with a mini and a 24" of my choice. Still doing some thinking on this, but every time I heard someone talking about reflections, that remember me some bad memory!
Just saw one at the local FS and I was really impressed. Lighting was not so great but reflections were at a minimum and not really distracting at all. I really want one. Although the the refurbished from the Apple store is really tempting, this is a drool-inducer. IMHO.
