Each year I send my girlfriend and other Muslim friends a message celebrating Ramadan.

Last year I sent an iCard from Apple's "Holiday" section... today I went to look, and ... well, there's Fall, Thanksgiving and Hannukah.... but no Ramadan.

Hmmmmmm.

A Moslem I used to work with once told me that you don't really "celebrate" Ramadan, but you observe it with reflection and reverance. The day after Ramadan, however, is a big party.

Well, y'know, I was raised a Baptist (came to my senses pretty quick though and abandoned all forms of organized religion)... so I've been socialized into thinking of holidays as a celebratory time... just a slip of the tongue.. er.. fingers.
