Congrats 2hondas. And welcome to EhMac

Will this be your first Mac?
Thanks for the welcome.

Yes, it is my first Mac! After so many months of research, I decided that the Macbook is what I wanted.

Anywho...when I ordered it, it took about 6 weeks...give or take a few days. It was last september..and spent a "few" *cough* nights partying at residence..so my memory is a bit hazzy ... but macs are awesome none the less. :D

Enjoy!
Three things,

1. Congrats!
2. Do you have two Hondas?
3. Toyota for life, :p. Haha.

You know, about Hondas, I Had One And Never Did Again.
Hi 2hondas,
Enjoy your new mac.
:)
Thanks!

And yes, I do have 2 Hondas. A couple of Toyotas too... they were extremely reliable, but Hondas have a bit more character.

Sherman, why don't you like Hondas? And why would it be funny if I installed Parallels? Is Bootcamp better? Actually, I ain't gonna install Windows... I already got a Windows Desktop. :)
Thanks!

Is that what you call rust around the wheel wells these days, character? :lmao:

j/p. I had three Honda Civic wagons in my life, one sold off, one died an early death at 300k, and one gone in a horrific traffic accident -- the one that was my favourite, an 88 4WD with 108HP 1.6L DOHC engine, non-VTEC but needed premium fuel anyway, it was an awesome pocket rocket that could also do some light offroading and carry lots of stuff. I cried when I signed it away as a write off. I looked at the bright side, the insurance company gave me $2300 for a car I paid $800 for. And the thing was starting to get rust on the structural frame itself. :yikes: I loved those things to death but now it's my ultra reliable clean rust free 91 Corolla I've had for five years. 335,000km and still going strong.

Oh sorry to smear your thread... um... any questions about your Mac just give us a shout! Don't forget to maintain the battery every month! And I have Parallels on my MBP, nothing wrong with that. :p
Hey Two Hondas...congrats and welcome....I have a Honda and two Toyotas...thier like Macs....extremely reliable, hold thier value well....and of course are an extreme joy to use everyday.

My 92 Accord has 315000 km's on her and she Purrs along everyday....
I thought your Accord had rust on it, then I realized it was just a coffee stain on my screen lol ewwww, gotta wash that. That's clean though!

Here's my baby. Need to get it detailed and get new wheel covers (or 16" rims with 185/40/R16s.. drool) but otherwise she's going and going.

We are soo going off topic on this thread. Um, so, are you planning to put a laptop mount in your Honda and use your MacBook as a GPS and entertainment centre, 2hondas?

Thats a very nice Accord you have there imactheknife. We used to own a 1986 Accord with the popup lights. Sold it to a friend at 160,000 kms - they drove it till 530,000 kms and sold it to another friend! We have a 01' Accord and 05' Odyssey right now.

Nice Corolla also dona, seems like its in good shape! We owned a 84' Corolla, 96' Camry, and a 98' Sienna. :) The same friend who bought our Accord has a 94' Camry, approacing 500,000 kms.!

Actually Dona, we use our Toshiba Laptop with a USB Garmin GPS reciever thing for our trips!! Its awesome. :D
Thanks!

It's just an amusing acronym I know of. HONDA=Had One Never Did Again.

Good to hear that you wont install windows, even though it's possible. It gives me a laugh everytime I hear of someone that just bought a mac, and got all excited because they installed Windows and it was *exactly* like their old machine.

And the differences between Boot Camp and Parrallels are minimal, with the exception of having to reboot for one of them ;).

Oh haha, the Honda acronym isn't true;)

I don't think I would need to use any programs that needs Windows...I don't know, would I?
Hey Dona, Nice Corolla dude...I bought an 88 Corolla in Calgary from a wreckers that was in MINT condition..it was donated to the Kidney foundation from some older people....it had 266000 Km's on it and had A/C as the only option. That was the best little car I had ever owned and I have owned LOTS:D

I sold it to a friend of mine when we moved back to Ontario in June/ 06 and he loves it too....the thing was in Mint condition...

I used to call her Corolla Sally....better slow that Corolla down....which is amusing as even with a stick shift it was pretty gutless.....

sorry for getting off topic...I just love foreign cars...

When you get your project done post some pictures....good luck with it...

*Covers his Corolla's ears* shhhh don't say that... I've burned rubber with her before lol.

Can't imagine anything. Of course, it depends on what you do.

If you're on Microsoft's Alpha Software Development Team for the new Windows operating system, Centra, you may have an issue. :D
