My only concern regarding the one-on-one sessions is the environment they're held in - the Apple Stores are noisy and distracting. Beyond that, I've heard good things about the teaching quality from some people who have used the service.
How is "One to One" service?
I'm a long time Mac User (started with System 7) but don't have a current local community of Mac-using friends or colleagues. I am pretty proficient but certainly not a power user of the more recent options. Wondering whether the One-to-One sessions are really useful, or if I can actually get pretty much the same thing from them with just regular queries or Genius Bar appointments. Has anyone here had a membership? Did you find it worthwhile? Disappointing? Useful? I'd love to hear about your experiences to help decide whether to activate for my new iMac.

I have a one-2-one subscription I have yet to activate.. I think it maybe worth the money if I can get a couple goo sessions out of it to push me to the next level in some of the software.
Maybe meet a nice lady there too

At our location, the One-to-One sessions begin an hour (or two? I think just one) before the official store opening time, so it's quieter. That was a concern I had, too, since it can be hard to pay attention in noisy environments. Definitely wouldn't try to do them during lunchtime!
A good friend of mine invested in the One-to-One sessions when she got her first Mac a year or so ago and she found them excellent. She's NOT a computer geek and found the transition to the Mac OS after years of using Windows confusing at times, but the One-to-One sessions were very helpful.
