Heh, Cbot, could you be a bit more specific? :D

Well, the MacBook is white. a "pc laptop" - mostly black or grey.

The MacBook runs OS X. The PC most likely Windows.

See what I mean? What comparative indicators are you asking about? Speed? Heat? Design? Software?

Bigger, stronger, faster.
MacBook Pro's like a sleek sexy BMW or Lexus, full of power, style, handling, performance.

MacBook white's like the VW Beetle, considered cute, fun to drive around, looks pretty good, has a good bit of power as long as you're not using it to race.

MacBook black's like the Mazda 3, more aggressive than the cute Beetle, all other attributes the same although has a bit more interior space.

PC laptops are like... American cars through the 90s. Constantly breaking down, needs to be monitored constantly, screams ANTI-style, may be high performance but may not, uses a lot of gas, and eventually you'll kick yourself for getting one and opt for a better car of some sort. MBP, MB white, MB black. Take your pick.
great analogy :D

Fantastic!
White unless you get the Black one ;) I love my black MacBook, and I think it looks a lot better than most PC laptops. It's definitely slim looking. I find a lot of PC laptops to actually be quite bulky, and that doesn't count the old Acer Lunchbox type that my Dad had in the 90's lol. Lunchbox, because it looks more like a lunchbox than laptop, even in standards of laptops from the 90's. It weighed around 15 pounds if I remember correctly. Definitely bulky.

The first time I booted up my Mac, I thought, wow, this screen is awesome. It's only 13", but it feels a lot bigger. Definitely sharp.

I have a friend who bought an Acer Laptop recently with Vista pre-installed, and listen to this. It has a built-in Webcam, but it seems to me Acer just installed Vista and slapped on a Vista Certified logo on it without really testing whether all their components were actually compatible with Vista. So, what happens when she goes to use her webcam? It doesn't recognize it! Vista couldn't find the drivers for a built-in webcam. An OS that came pre-installed. How ridiculous is that? Pffft, Vista is SOOOO not ready for prime-time. I think MS really fumbled the ball here with their driver releases. Makes me so glad that a Mac works just as advertised.

One big difference between PCs and Macs, I've noticed is that, with PCs, if something doesn't work, you have to go search out for any fixes on the hardware manufacturer's site. I went searching for drivers on Acer's site to try to help her fix her problem, and I couldn't find anything. It should work out of the box. Anything that isn't, is BS. Why would you have to go out and search for drivers for something you just bought?.
