So... I came home from work today, and it seems as if my 5 year old daughter mistakenly dragged a Library folder to my desktop.

I don't know which Library folder it is, but all of my keychains, user prefs, adress book content, etc., are all gone. I'm not very familiar with with directory structure to know if this is a "system" library folder, a "user" one, or what.

I backup religiously (using Backup 3 - uh oh, now I know why it's not given great ratings,) and I'm having a restore error when I attempt to restore.

Help!

The name of the foldor might help...

I find u normally need a system password to modify the 'system' library folder (located /Macintosh HD/Library), but not your personal one (/Macintosh HD/Users/USERNAME/Library).

Oh, I think I misread your post. If it was the ENTIRE library folder, it was probably your personal one (you would place that back into your user home folder). It sounds as if all your problems are specific to your user and not your system, so....
