Has anyone heard of these guys or dealt with them before. If you buy 3 you get one free. Works out to be just over $300 Canadian for a 40gig iPod. Sound too good to be true.

I did notice they have NO phone numbers to speak of on the site...

Although, since they claim to use Verisign, you could always contact Verisign to see if they're legitimately a vendor...?

Anyone else think of another way to see if this company is legit?

Come on - where's the common sense here?

Looks to good to be true - it most likely isn't ... good rule ...

iPods, new and used are demand a premium price - I have been looking for a replacement for a 5GB I gave to my daughter with NO SUCCESS. Even 1G iPods are demanding a premium - Almost new ones on eBay are going for Apple new prices (which will be more or not much less after factoring in shipping and duties).

And ... here's another clue ...

We regret to inform you that due to a big order that was payed with stolen Credit Card Details we cannot accept credit card payments anymore for now we will only receive payment for your orders via Money Gram .

Please note that your order is not a joke your IP will be recorded and you will be prosecuted accordingly to international laws if you do not pay your order
hmmmmm ... no credit cards = no protection - money gram only - like giving a stranger cash = good luck

can't spell either ... and the grammer.

So what do you think now? Still confident enough to send your cash money to this scammer?

News of this Ebay/iPod pyramid scheme has been cirulating through mac news sites for the past few weeks. This is a scam, so stay clear of it. Of all the companies in the world, Apple is about the most protective when it comes to pricing. They do not offer deals to even their biggest distributors, let alone some fly by night internet company.

eBay warns about being approached by people outside auctions harvesting potential buyers. I would stay away from this. "If it sounds too good to be true,..."

My thought was "to good to be true". Someone at work brought this info to me because I am the "Mac" guy. I told them it was a scam but would post here to see what you guys thought. I suggested contacting them and seeing if they would use an escrow service. That would tell you pretty quick if they were ligit or not.

Thanks for the input,

Gunner.
