The Globe and Mail changed the design of their web site today and it doesn't work well with Safari or IE for Mac. The latter isn't so bad - the scrolling headlines get confused - but I hate IE and now only use it when forced to. The site does display properly in Netscape 7. Makes me wonder how much effort these site designers put into testing. Sure, Safari is beta and only represents 0.15% of browser traffic but it IS standards based. Designers check out their code on IE for Windows and leave it at that. It sends the wrong message and is simply bad coding.

I sent a report to the G&M web editor and to the Safari bug group. Methinks this will be a never-ending project...

I noticed the same thing...as the Globe and Mail is my designated home page. Looks terrible with Safari...also sent a bug report to Apple.

Works very nicely in Chimera (which has been my browser of choice since Apple's Safari hype finally goaded me into downloading and comparing the two head to head).
