If you have a Sony Ericsson T68i and want the ultimate in geeky goodness, try out some of the shareware of Jonas Salling. Ultra-geekiness is the software that allows you to remote control your Mac using a T68i. His initial software allows you to run Applescripts and even to allow proximity detection (switching apps on and off if you leave the area). You can also control Keynote and Powerpoint presentations without having to buy one of the USB remotes that companies like KeySpan sell.

Although of limited use (except to those of us with T68i phones), it does hint at the type of applications that are surely coming down the pike in the near future.

I can't wait to control my presentations with my cell phone. Uber-Geek!!

[Update] A release version is now available (Cdn$15.57) from the site (goes up by $5 next week). I bought it and it does all it says and more. There's a cool menu item to activate connections to your phone and it works with any scriptable application. The program comes with scripts to control Keynote, Powerpoint, iTunes, DVD player and other aspects of the system. *Very* inituitive and it works. Apple should acquire this software (hope they don't release a version to compete).

The only problem is that you have to have your phone on (obviously). So someone might call during your presentation..... (workaround is to divert to call answer).

If you have a T68 or other compatible Erikson phone, this is a relly neat tool (and saved me $100 on a USB remote controller).
