i've got a good dynamic mic and need a one track recording of drums and keyboards off the floor.

should i really be using a condensor or would a dynamic and Garageband be ok since it's not singer/songwriter or acoustic/vocals??

Hi,

Have you tried the dynamic mic to see how it sounds in that situation. It may sound decent.

Although dymanic mics are used to mic a drum kit, room recordings are usually done with a condensor mic. Try to get a balance of drum and keyboard using mic placement.
