If you follow the hi-fi industry you will know that format wars have been raging for (at least?) three years regarding the next 'super CD' format. Makes the DVD wars look like a picnic.

Anyway, in the hope to start to stir the market and convince punters to replace (yet again) their CD collection, some labels have started to publish dual layer CDs: one regular and one using high quality SACD format.

This is probably OK for multi-standard readers but the Superdrive thinks two layers = DVD ! So it attemps to burn everytime you attempt to insert the discs...

Not a big deal, except that iTunes cannot capture those disks, so I need to borrow older versions of the same CDs (sigh).

Anyone else has come across this?
