I was looking at the apple.com website and stumbled across the Xserve with firewire 800. I heard that firewire was coming out with a faster version. Anyone have any more information regarding this? http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=75471&SaveKCWindowURL=http%3A%2F%2Fkbase.info.apple.com%2Fcgi-bin%2FWebObjects%2Fkbase.woa%2Fwa%2FSaveKCToHomePage&searchMode=Assiste d&kbhost=kbase.info.apple.com&showButton=false&randomValue=100&showSurvey=false&sessionID=anonymous%7C164805444

Anyone tried it?

FireWire 800 has been out since Macworld Expo 2003, with the new Powerbook G4s... it's old news...

"I heard that firewire was coming out with a faster version."

FireWire isn't a company - it's a technology developed by Apple, Inc.

FireWire 400 - Original FireWire
FireWire 800 - Twice as fast transfer speeds;, introduced with new Powerbook G4, MWSF 2003.
