Seems it neve rains but it pours. Now I have a great new OS9 clean install but my Photoshop 7 will not run on 0S9. Tried to upgrade to 9.1 (twice) and it crashes on restart and gives me an error 11. Has anyone had this problem. Any tips would be much appreciated.

What was the clean-install that you successfully did in an earlier thread.

OS 9.0, 9.0.4, 9.1?

Starting to smell like possible bad RAM or bad HD.

Did you download the techtool lite?

I installed OS9 successfully and would stick to that but I need 0S9.1 to run Photoshop 7. I will take your suggestion and download Techtool lite since now I can at least unstuff.

That's odd - 11 is a general hardware error but I thought PS 7 needed 9.2xx.
You can download several memeory checkers.
You also may be under memory allocation for 9 ( too little assigned )

Photoshop 7 can run on 9.1 and up. I think it is a memory problem too. I'm getting tired of being an IT person when I should be designing.

Good Point!!! I always seem to forget that and get stuck (and challenged) trying to fix myself. I enjoy learning about how the Mac runs so that is why I attempt to fix but then there comes a point where "enough is enough". Thanks for reminding me that I should go to the experts when stumped!

Might be memory, if you have multiple RAM sticks pull some and see if anything changes or bring it here and we'll do it for you.
